Architect Rafael del Castillo has a degree from “Escuela Superior de Arcitectura” in Seville, Spain. He also has a master’s degree in “Collective Housing” at the Polytechnic University of Madrid, where he after his studies continues to work at the “Acoustics and Vibration Laboratory”. From Madrid he moves to Quito, Ecuador, where he collaborates with the architecture studio GMA Arquitectos Asociados.
Back in Seville, he establishes an architecture studio (Ombú) together with three partners, where he was involved in projects of different scale and phases, from concept phase to the follow-up in both residential and public projects.
In early 2017 he partners up with Cate & Nelson to create a multi-disciplinary creative studio where architecture and design is combined.
